耶利米書 Jeremiah 17:9-11
9 「人心比萬物都詭詐，壞到極處，誰能識透呢？
10 我耶和華是鑒察人心、試驗人肺腑的，要照各人所行的和他做事的結果報應他。
11 那不按正道得財的，好像鷓鴣Zhègū 抱不是自己下的蛋，到了中年，那財都必離開他，他終究成為愚頑人。」
9 The heart is deceitful above all things
and beyond cure .

10 “I the Lord search the heart
and examine means ,
to reward each person according to their conduct ,
according to what their deeds deserve ”

11 Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay
are those who gain riches by unjust means.
When their lives are half gone, their riches will desert them,
and in the end they will prove to be fools.
