太12:1

At that time Jesus went through the grainfields /’greinˌfi:ld/ 穀粒 on the Sabbath /ˈsæb.əθ/ 安息日. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them.

grain(尤指像稻穀、小麥等像草一樣的植物的)穀粒,穎果,穀(物)

head  /hed/ 頭部

那時,耶穌在安息日從麥地經過。他的門徒餓了,就掐起麥穗來吃。

When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful 法律禁止的, 违法的 on the Sabbath.”

法利賽人看見,就對耶穌說:“看哪,你的門徒做安息日不可做的事了!”

太12:3

He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions /kəmˈpæn.jən/ 同伴;夥伴;伴侶 were hungry?

耶穌對他們說:“經上記著大衛和跟從他的人饑餓之時所做的事,你們沒有念過嗎?

太12:4

He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate /eɪt/ the consecrated /ˈkɑːn.sə.kreɪt/ 使聖化 bread–which was not lawful /ˈlɑː.fəl/ 合法的,依法的 for them to do, but only for the priests /priːst/ 牧師.

consecrate 使聖化;把…奉爲神聖;給…祝聖

priests 神父,牧師,司鐸duó;(基督教以外的)神職人員

他怎麼進了 神的殿,吃了陳設餅,這餅不是他和跟從他的人可以吃得,惟獨祭司才可以吃。

太12:5

Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent?

再者,律法上所記的,當安息日,祭司在殿裡犯了安息日,還是沒有罪,你們沒有念過嗎?

太12:6

 I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. 

但我告訴你們:在這裡有一人比殿更大。

太12:7

If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire /dɪˈzaɪr/(尤指強烈地)渴望,希望,想要 mercy /ˈmɝː.si/ 慈悲,憐憫;仁慈,寬容, not sacrifice /ˈsæk.rə.faɪs/犧牲;獻出, ’ you would not have condemned /kənˈdemd/ the innocent /ˈɪn.ə.sənt/ (人)無罪的.

‘我喜愛憐恤,不喜愛祭祀。’你們若明白這話的意思,就不將無罪的當作有罪的了。

太12:8

For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

因為人子是安息日的主。”

太12:9

Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue /ˈsɪn.ə.ɡɑːɡ/ 猶太教堂,

耶穌離開那地方,進了一個會堂。

太12:10

 and a man with a shriveled /ˈʃrɪv.əl/ 枯萎 hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

 shriveled (使)枯萎;(使)乾枯;(使)皺縮

那裡有一個人枯乾了一隻手。有人問耶穌說:“安息日治病,可以不可以?”意思是要控告他。

太12:11

He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?

耶穌說:“你們中間誰有一隻羊,當安息日掉在坑裡,不把它抓住拉上來呢?

太12:12

How much more valuable /ˈvæl.jə.bəl/ 錢, 值錢的,貴重的, 重要的 is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”

人比羊何等貴重呢!所以,在安息日做善事是可以的。”

太12:13

Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.

於是對那人說:“伸出手來!”他把手一伸,手就複了原,和那只手一樣。

太12:14

But the Pharisees went out and plotted1  /plɑːtɪd/ 故事, 情节, 秘密计划 how they might  /maɪt/可能,可以 kill Jesus.

 plotted (plot的過去式 /plɑːt/)

法利賽人出去,商議怎樣可以除滅耶穌。

太12:15

Aware /əˈwer/ of this, Jesus withdrew /wɪðˈdrɑː/ from that place. A large crowd  /kraʊd/ followed him, and he healed all who were /wɝː/ ill,

耶穌知道了,就離開那裡。有許多人跟著他,他把其中有病的人都治好了,

太12:16

He warned /wɔːrnd/ 警告;告誡;提醒 them not to tell others about him.

又囑咐他們,不要給他傳名。

太12:17

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah /ai’zaiə/:

這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話,說:

太12:18

“Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight  /dɪˈlaɪt/; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim /proʊˈkleɪm/ 宣布, 声明, 表示 justice  /ˈdʒʌs.tɪs/公正 to the nations.

“看哪,我的僕人,我所揀選、所親愛、心裡所喜悅的,我要將我的靈賜給他,他必將公理傳給外邦。

太12:19

He will not quarrel /ˈkwɔːr.əl/ 爭吵,不和 or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.

他不爭競,不喧嚷,街上也沒有人聽見他的聲音。

太12:20

A bruised /bruːzd/ reed /riːd/ he will not break /breɪk/, and a smoldering wick 燭芯;燈芯 he will not snuff out,till he has brought justice /ˈdʒʌs.tɪs/ 公正 through to victory /ˈvɪk.tɚ.i/ 胜利,获胜, 成功.

break   损坏, 破碎,破裂, 打破…

smolder(smoulder 的美式拼写) /ˈsml.dɚ/

smoulder  /ˈsmoʊl.dɚ/ (smoulder 的美式拼写)无火焰地慢慢烧,闷燃, (问题或不良局势)持续存在,维持, (强烈的情绪)郁积,闷在心头

snuff /snʌf/ 鼻烟, 熄灭,吹灭

till /tɪl/ 直到, 到…为止, 收银机的抽屉

justice  /ˈdʒʌs.tɪs/ 公正,公平;正義

壓傷的蘆葦,他不折斷;將殘的燈火,他不吹滅。等他施行公理,叫公理得勝;

太12:21

In his name the nations will put their hope.”

外邦人都要仰望他的名。”

太12:22

Then they brought him a demon /ˈd.mən/惡魔,魔鬼 -possessed man who was blind  /blaɪnd/ 瞎的,盲的,失明的 and mute /mjuːt/ 無法説話的 and Jesus healed /hiːld/癒合;治癒 him, so that he could both talk and see.

mute 沉默的, (活动)无声的, 无法说话的

當下,有人將一個被鬼附著、又瞎又啞的人帶到耶穌那裡,耶穌就醫治他,甚至那啞巴又能說話,又能看見。

太12:23

All the people were astonished  /əˈstɑː.nɪʃt/ 感到震惊的, 觉得惊骇/hài/ 的 and said, “Coul/kʊd/ this be the Son of David?”

Could 能, (can 的过去式,表示能够或允许)能,可以, 许可

眾人都驚奇,說:“這不是大衛的子孫嗎?”

太12:24

But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul /biːˊelzibʌl/, the prince /prɪns/ of demons, that this fellow 同伴的 drives out demons.”

fellow 同事的, 同伴的, 同情况的

但法利賽人聽見,就說:“這個人趕鬼,無非是靠著鬼王別西卜啊。”

太12:25

Jesus knew /nuː/ their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined /ˈruː.ɪnd/ (入nd)毁灭了的, and every city or household divided 有分歧的 against itself will not stand.

divided 分裂的;有分歧的;抵觸的

ruined 毁掉了的,毁灭了的,被破坏的

耶穌知道他們的意念,就對他們說:“凡一國自相紛爭,就成為荒埸;一城一家自相紛爭,必站立不住。

太12:26

If Satan /ˈseɪ.tən/ 撒但 drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

若撒但趕逐撒但,就是自相紛爭,他的國怎能站得住呢?

太12:27

And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul  /biːˊelzibʌl/ , by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges /dʒʌdʒs/ 人, 法官, 審判員.

我若靠著別西蔔趕鬼,你們的子弟趕鬼又靠著誰呢?這樣,他們就要斷定你們的是非。

太12:28

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon /əˈpɑːn/ 在…上… you.

我若靠著 神的靈趕鬼,這就是 神的國臨到你們了。

太12:29

“Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off 帶走 his possessions /pəˈzeʃ.ən/ 所有物 unless 除非 he first ties  /taɪ/ 捆 up the strong man? Then he can plunder /ˈplʌn.dɚ/ 抢劫 his house.

tie 系, 打结, 系,缚,捆,扎…

possessions 擁有,佔有, 具有, 所有物,個人物品…

unless 除非, 除了在…的情況下…

plunder (尤指战争期间的)掠lüè夺,抢劫,劫掠, 骗取, 窃取…

人怎能進壯士家裡,搶奪他的傢俱呢?除非先捆住那壯士,才可以搶奪他的家財。

太12:30

“whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters /ˈskæt̬.ɚ/ 散開,分散;使分散,驅散.

不與我相合的,就是敵我的;不同我收聚的,就是分散的。

太12:31

And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander 誹謗,詆毀 can be forgiven 原諒;寬恕, but blasphemy /ˈblæs.fə.mi/ 褻瀆;褻瀆的言行;侮wǔ慢的言行 against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

所以我告訴你們:人一切的罪和褻瀆xiè dú的話,都可得赦免;惟獨褻瀆聖靈,總不得赦免。

太12:32

Anyone who speaks a word  /wɝːd/ against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven  /fɚˈɡɪvn/, either in this age or in the age to come.

凡說話干犯人子的,還可得赦免;惟獨說話干犯聖靈的,今世、來世總不得赦免。

太12:33

“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized /ˈrek.əɡ.naɪzd/ 公認的;認可的 by its fruit.

你們或以為樹好,果子也好;樹壞,果子也壞。因為看果子就可以知道樹。

太12:34

You brood of vipers  /ˈvaɪ.pɚs/ , how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth  /maʊθ/ 嘴,口;口腔 speaks what the heart /hɑːrt/ is full of.

brood 一窝雏鸟, …的孩子, 忧思,担扰…

vipers 蝰kuí蛇(一种小毒蛇), 阴险的人…

毒蛇的種類!你們既是惡人,怎能說出好話來呢?因為心裡所充滿的,口裡就說出來。

太12:35

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

善人從他心裡所存的善,就發出善來;惡人從他心裡所存的惡,就發出惡來。

太12:36

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment 判断, 判断力, 识别力 for every empty word they have spoken.

account /əˈkaʊnt/ 银行, 账户,户头, 报告

judgment  /ˈdʒʌdʒ.mənt/

我又告訴你們:凡人所說的閒話,當審判的日子,必要句句供出來。

太12:37

For by your words you will be acquitted /əˈkwɪt/, and by your words you will be condemned /kənˈdemd/ .”

 acquitted 宣判…无罪

condemned(罪犯)被判死刑的

因為要憑你的話定你為義,也要憑你的話定你有罪。”

太12:38

Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a miraculous /məˈræk.jə.ləs/ sign from you.”

 Pharisee /ˈfer.ɪ.siː/ 法利賽人;偽善者

miraculous  奇迹般的, 令人惊奇的, 不可思议的

當時,有幾個文士和法利賽人對耶穌說:“夫子,我們願意你顯個神跡給我們看。”

太12:39

He answered, “A wicked and adulterous 通奸的 generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

wicked  /ˈwɪk.ɪd/ 邪惡的;壞的;缺德的

adulterous /әˈdʌltәrәs/ 通奸的

generation /ˌdʒen.əˈreɪ.ʃən/ 年龄层, (社会或家庭的)一代(人),同代人,同辈人, (时间跨度为23至30年左右的)一代,一辈…

Jonah /ˈdʒəʊ/ 約拿

耶穌回答說:“一個邪惡、淫亂的世代求看神跡,除了先知約拿的神跡以外,再沒有神跡給他們看。

太12:40

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly /ˈbel.i/ 腹部,胃 of a huge /hjuːdʒ/ fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart /hɑːrt/ of the earth /ɝːθ/.

約拿三日三夜在大魚肚腹中,人子也要這樣三日三夜在地裡頭。

太12:41

The men of Nineveh /naɪˈnɪvə/ will stand up at the judgment with /wɪð/ this generation and condemn it; for they repented /rɪˈpent/ 後悔;悔過,懺悔 at the preaching /priːtʃ/ (尤指牧師在教堂中)講道,佈道 of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.

當審判的時候,尼尼微人要起來定這世代的罪,因為尼尼微人聽了約拿所傳的,就悔改了;看哪,在這裡有一人比約拿更大。

太12:42

The Queen /kwiːn/ of the South  /saʊθ/ will rise /raɪz/ 向上移动, 上升, 升高 at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom /ˈwɪz.dəm/ 智慧;明智, and now something greater than Solomon is here.

當審判的時候,南方的女王要起來定這世代的罪,因為她從地極而來,要聽所羅門的智慧話;看哪,在這裡有一人比所羅門更大。

太12:43

“When an impure /ɪmˈpjʊr/ 純度不高的,有雜質的 spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid

 arid /ˈer.ɪd/ 乾燥的,乾旱的 places seeking 搜寻, 寻找, 寻求(尤指非物质的东西) rest and does not find it.

汙鬼離了人身,就在無水之地過來過去,尋求安歇之處,卻尋不著。

太12:44

Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives /əˈraɪv/ 到达,抵达(尤指到达旅途的终点), 到来, it finds the house unoccupied /ʌnˈɑːk.jəˌpaɪd/ 空着的, 闲置的, 无人占用的, swept clean and put in order.

swept  /swept/ (sweep的過去式及過去分詞)打掃,清掃,掃除

於是說:‘我要回到我所出來的屋裡去。’到了,就看見裡面空閒,打掃乾淨,修飾好了,

太12:45

Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”

便去另帶了七個比自己更惡的鬼來,都進去住在那裡。那人末後的景況比先前更不好了。這邪惡的世代也要如此。”

太12:46

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood /stʊd/ outside, wanting to speak to him.

 stood (stand的过去式及过去分词)(使)直立;(使)站立;豎放;(尤指)站起來

耶穌還對眾人說話的時候,不料,他母親和他弟兄站在外邊,要與他說話。

太12:47

Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”

有人告訴他說:“看哪,你母親和你弟兄站在外邊,要與你說話。”

太12:48

He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”

他卻回答那人說:“誰是我的母親?誰是我的弟兄?”

太12:49

Pointing 指點 to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.

就伸手指著門徒說:“看哪,我的母親,我的弟兄。

太12:50

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

凡遵行我天父旨意的人,就是我的弟兄、姐妹和母親了。”
