太6:1
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness’ /ˈraɪ.tʃəs.nəs/ 正義;公正;正當 in front of others to seen by them.If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
你們要小心，不可將善事行在人的面前，故意叫他們看見；若是這樣，就不能得你們天父的賞賜了。
太6:2
“So when you give to the needy, do not announce /əˈnaʊns/ 宣佈，宣告，通告 it with trumpets /ˈtrʌm.pət/ 小號, as the hypocrites /ˈhɪp.ə.krɪt/ 偽君子 do in the synagogues /ˈsɪn.ə.ɡɑːɡ/ 猶太會堂 and on the streets, to be honored /ˈɑː.nɚ/ 名譽，榮譽;高尚品德 by others. truly I tell you, they have received /rɪˈsiːvd/ 公認的；承認的 their reward in full.
所以，你施捨的時候，不可在你前面吹號，像那假冒為善的人在會堂裡和街道上所行的，故意要得人的榮耀。我實在告訴你們：他們已經得了他們的賞賜。
太6:3
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
你施捨的時候，不要叫左手知道右手所做的；
太6:4
so that your giving may be in secret /ˈsiː.krət/ 秘密. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
要叫你施捨的事行在暗中，你父在暗中察看，必然報答你（有古卷作“必在明處報答你”）。
太6:5
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites /ˈhɪp.ə.krɪt/ 偽君子，偽善者, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues /ˈsɪn.ə.ɡɑːɡ/ 猶太教堂 and on the street corners 拐角處,to be seen by men. I tell you the truth /truːθ/, they have received their reward in full.
pray 禱告，祈禱, 強烈地希望, 祈望，祈求
full 容納很多的, （容器或空間）裝滿的，充滿的, 充滿…的…
你們禱告的時候，不可像那假冒為善的人，愛站在會堂裡和十字路口上禱告，故意叫人看見。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。
太6:6
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret /ˈsiː.krət/ 秘密, 奧秘, 秘訣, will reward you.
你禱告的時候，要進你的內屋，關上門，禱告你在暗中的父，你父在暗中察看，必然報答你。
太6:7
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling /ˈbæb.əl/ like pagans /ˈpeɪ.ɡən/, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
babbling 說話，談話, 牙牙學語，含糊不清地說, 興奮地說
pagans 多神教的, 異教的，非正統的, 多神教徒
你們禱告，不可像外邦人，用許多重複話，他們以為話多了必蒙垂聽。
太6:8
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
你們不可效法他們，因為你們沒有祈求以先，你們所需用的，你們的父早已知道了。
太6:9
“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed /ˈhæl.oʊd/奉爲神聖的 be your name,
hallowed （因地位重要或年長而）受尊崇的，奉爲神聖的, （同 holy）
所以，你們禱告要這樣說：‘我們在天上的父：願人都尊你的名為聖。
太6:10
your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
願你的國降臨。願你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上。
太6:11
Give us today our daily 每天地 bread.
daily 每天地，天天地, （受僱為別人打掃家居的）清潔工，傭人…
我們日用的飲食，今日賜給我們。
太6:12
Forgive us our debts /dets/ 借款，欠款, 債務, as we also have forgiven our debtors /ˈdetəz/ 借方, 負債者，債務人.
免我們的債，如同我們免了人的債。
太6:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
不叫我們遇見試探。救我們脫離兇惡。（或作“脫離惡者”）因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠。阿們’（有古卷無“因為”至“阿們”等字）！
太6:14
For if you forgive men when they sin against 反對, 與…相反, 接觸 you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
你們饒恕人的過犯，你們的天父也必饒恕你們的過犯；
太6:15
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
你們不饒恕人的過犯，你們的天父也必不饒恕你們的過犯。
太6:16
“When you fast /fæst/ 快的, 迅速的, 敏捷的, do not look somber /ˈsɒm.bər/ 憂鬱的 as the hypocrites /ˈhɪp.ə.krɪts/ 偽君子，偽善者 do, for they disfigure /dɪsˈfɪɡ.jɚ/ 損毀…的外觀, 使毀容 their faces to show men they are fasting 禁食. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.
你們禁食的時候，不可像那假冒為善的人，臉上帶著愁容，因為他們把臉弄得難看，故意叫人看出他們是禁食。我實在告訴你們：他們已經得了他們的賞賜。
太6:17
But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,
你禁食的時候，要梳頭洗臉，
太6:18
so that it will not be obvious /ˈɑːb.vi.əs/ 明顯的 to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret /ˈsiː.krət/ 秘密, 奧秘, 秘訣 , will reward you.
清楚的, 顯然的，明顯的, 明白的
不叫人看出你禁食來，只叫你暗中的父看見。你父在暗中察看，必然報答你。
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures 珍品, 財寶, 珍寶 on earth, where moth /mɑːθ/ 蛾，飛蛾 and rust /rʌst/ 破壞 destroy 毀壞 , and where thieves break in and steal 拿, 偷，竊, 行動快速.
thieves （thief的過去式 /θiːf/）
不要為自己積攢財寶在地上，地上有蟲子咬，能鏽壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷；
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
只要積攢財寶在天上，天上沒有蟲子咬，不能鏽壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。
太6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
因為你的財寶在哪裡，你的心也在那裡。
太6:22
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
眼睛就是身上的燈。你的眼睛若了亮，全身就光明；
太6:23
But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness /ˈdɑːrk.nəs/ 黑暗 . If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
darkness 暗，黑暗，陰暗, （顏色）深，暗, 傷心絕望
你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你裡頭的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！
太6:24
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate 憎恨，憎惡 the one and love the other, or he will be devoted /dɪˈvoʊ.t̬ɪd/ 摯愛的, 忠實的，忠誠的 to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
一個人不能事奉兩個主。不是惡這個愛那個，就是重這個輕那個。你們不能又事奉 神，又事奉瑪門（“瑪門”是“財利”的意思）。
太6:25
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
所以我告訴你們：不要為生命憂慮吃什麼，喝什麼；為身體憂慮穿什麼。生命不勝於飲食嗎？身體不勝於衣裳嗎？
太6:26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable /ˈvæl.jə.bəl/ 錢, 值錢的，貴重的, 重要的 than they?
你們看那天上的飛鳥，也不種，也不收，也不積蓄在倉裡，你們的天父尚且養活它。你們不比飛鳥貴重得多嗎？
太6:27
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
你們哪一個能用思慮使壽數多加一刻呢（或作“使身量多加一肘呢”）？
太6:28
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor /ˈleɪ.bɚ/ 工作, 勞動 or spin /spɪn/紡線 .
spin 旋轉, （使）（尤指快速）旋轉, 紡線
何必為衣裳憂慮呢？你想，野地裡的百合花怎麼長起來。它也不勞苦，也不紡線。
太6:29
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor /ˈsplen.dər/ 輝煌 was dressed like one of these.
然而我告訴你們：就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的還不如這花一朵呢！
太6:30
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
你們這小信的人哪！野地裡的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裡， 神還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢！
太6:31
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
所以，不要憂慮說，‘吃什麼？喝什麼？穿什麼？’
太6:32
For the pagans /ˈpeɪ.ɡən/ 異教徒 run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
這都是外邦人所求的。你們需用的這一切東西，你們的天父是知道的。
太6:33
But seek 搜尋, 尋找, 尋求 first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
seek 搜尋, 尋找, 尋求（尤指非物質的東西）
你們要先求他的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了。
太6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
所以，不要為明天憂慮，因為明天自有明天的憂慮；一天的難處一天當就夠了。
