Matthew Chatper 7 NIV

igodhk

“Do not judge /dʒʌdʒ/ 人, 法官, 審判員 or you too will be judged.

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure /ˈmeʒ.ɚ/ 大小, 量,測量, 計量 you use, it will be measured to you.

“Why do you look at the speck 斑點 of sawdust  /ˈsɑː.dʌst/ 鋸屑,鋸末 in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

You hypocrite /ˈhɪp.ə.krɪt/ 偽君子, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

“Do not give dogs what is sacred /ˈseɪ·krɪd/ ; do not throw your pearls /pɝːl/珍珠, 人造珍珠, 液態珠狀物 to pigs. If you do, they may trample /ˈtræm.pəl/ 踩, 踩,踐踏, 無視 them under their feet, and then turn and tear /ter/ you to pieces.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks  /nɑːk/, the door will be opened.

“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up 總結 the Law and the Prophets.

“Enter through the narrow /ˈner.oʊ/ 狹窄的 gate. For wide is the gate /ɡeɪt/ 大門 and broad  /brɑːd/ 寬闊的, 寬廣的, …寬的 is the road that leads to destruction  /dɪˈstrʌk.ʃən/ 毀滅,消滅,破壞, and many enter through it.

你們要進窄門。因為引到滅亡,那門是寬的,路是大的,進去的人也多;

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly  /ˈɪn.wɚd/ 裡面的, 向內的, 內心的 they are ferocious  /fəˈroʊ.ʃəs/ 兇猛的,兇惡的, 激烈的, 可怕的 wolves  /wʊlvis/.

By their fruit you will recognize  /ˈrek.əɡ.naɪz/ 認識, 認出 them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes /ˈθɔːrn ˌbʊʃ/ 荆棘丛, or figs 無花果, 無花果樹 from thistles /ˈθɪs.əl/ 薊(葉帶尖刺,多開紫色花)?

Likewise 同樣,照樣,也一樣 every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears 接受, 忍受, 容忍 bad fruit.

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Thus, by their fruit you will recognize  /ˈrek.əɡ.naɪz/ 認出,認識; 識別 them.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons /ˈdiː.mən/ 惡魔,魔鬼 and in your name perform UK/pəˈfɔːm/  US/pɚˈfɔːrm/ 做,進行;施行 many miracles /ˈmɪr.ə.kəl/ 奇跡 ?’

Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers  /ˈiː.vəlˌduː.ɚ/

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice /ˈpræk.tɪs/ 實施,實踐 is like a wise man who built his house on the rock UK  /rɒk/ US  /rɑːk/ 岩石;岩;礁石 .

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation /faʊnˈdeɪ.ʃən/ 創建;建立 on the rock.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash /kræʃ/

When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds  /kraʊd/人群;群衆 were amazed 十分驚奇的,驚愕的 at his teaching,

because he taught as one who had authority /əˈθɔːr.ə.t̬i/ 權力, 威信, 管轄權, and not as their teachers of the law /lɑː/ 法律.
